Antonio De Nebrija 8 Reales (2022) (Silver)

To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Antonio de Nebrija, the National Mint and Stamp Factory is issuing a commemorative coin in honor of this philosopher and humanist, creator of our Grammar.

The reverse of the coin features an image of the statue of Antonio de Nebrija located in the Seville municipality of Lebrija.

Above the image, in a circular motion and in capital letters, the legend V CENTENARIO DE ANTONIO DE NEBRIJA, and on the back an allegory of the alphabet of the Castilian language.
